Add gloss to the center of your lips which draws attention to the center of your face and not the whole face. This also creates and illusion of plumper lips which will help make the rest of the face seem smaller.

Make your eyes look bigger! By making your eyes look bigger you draw the focus to your eyes. This helps to defocus the rest of your face as people pay more attention to your eyes! You can do this by trying the smoky eye effect, use a good eyeliner and add lots of mascara especially on the upper part of your eyes which will really help to open them up. Using false lashes for events is also a great trick to make your eyes appear much bigger and beautiful.

Sculpt your cheekbones to give the illusion of a slimmer face. This is by far the best way to slim your face! Use a darker shade of blush or bronzer slightly below your cheekbones (below the apples of your cheeks) and sweep this color upwards from the cheek area right up to your temples near the ears. Then sweep your normal lighter blush shade on the apples of your cheeks. The darker shadow below the apples of your cheeks make it seem like your face is narrower and thus giving an illusion of a slimmer face. You can check out MakeUpForever's Sculpting Kit. Or simply just get any blusher that is a darker shade then your normal one.

Having good makeup skills is very important for a good makeup aritist. However, just like any artist, having the right tools/ products/ supplies to do a good job is equally if not sometimes even more important. FACES believes in this principle and here is a glimpse into some of the products that we use for our work.

FACES Tip

Easy. Apply your lipstick over the entire lip. Blot on a tissue and reapply the lipstick. Blot again to ensure that you get a good application. Then, take a good quality gloss which is either clear or the same color as the lipstick you have applied and apply it only to the... center portion of both your top and bottom lips. This instantly reflects light off the center giving the illusion of poutier and plumper lips!
